Frequently Asked Questions
What are Louisiana’s laws concerning homeschooled students?
Does Louisiana require homeschools to be accredited?
Louisiana does NOT require homeschools to be accredited. Freedom Christian Homeschool is a private homeschool.  Students are registered by their parents with the state, who then hire us to teach their children.
How much is school tuition?
There is a $250/$300 registration fee that also includes books/curriculum. There is a one-time building fee of $150 due August first or at time of registration if the school year is in progress. There is also a one-time enrichment fee of $125 due September first or at time of registration if the school year is in progress. Tuition for students ranges from $535-$575 per month.

It does not include lunch. Students must bring a lunch to school daily. They will have access to a refrigerator and microwave.
What curriculum is used at FCH?
We use Christian Light for our Math curriculum and My Father's World for Reading, History, and Science as well as a variety of other curricula. We will supplement with outside resources as needed to meet the individual needs of each student.
When can I register?
Applications are taken at any time. After applying, we'll schedule an interview to see if Freedom Christian Homeschool fits your family. We begin opening enrollment for the following school year on February 1st of each year. At this time we are only accepting new elementary age students.
When are your scheduled breaks?
We take breaks for all major holidays. Contact us here for more information about the current school year’s calendar. Our weekly schedule is Monday - Thursday 8 am to 3 pm. Fridays are optional 8 am to 12 pm.
